About Erin...
Erin and her two brothers were
raised in the middle of America
by some pretty nifty parents.
They lived in a place where there were
no castles on hills,
no ancient ruins,
no thundering waves, or mountain peaks.
There were, however some very nice,
very grounded, people and lots of corn.
Erin spent a good part of her childhood
daydreaming.

Erin went to university for Art History where
she would sit in dark rooms, look at great Art,
and daydream.

After school she decided it was time to stop dreaming
and start seeing. She became a Flight Attendant and spent ten years traveling the world.
She loved the castles, the ruins, the waves,
and just about everything else.
She did, however get a little tired of the jetlag
and so began to daydream…

Erin now lives in Redondo Beach, CA with her husband and daughter. Every day she paints and writes about far away places, people, animals, and so forth.

She hopes her work will inspire other people to daydream.
Erin received the Children's Literature Council's 'Excellence in a Picture Book Award for Hula Lullaby, (Little, Brown 2005) which was also named "Best Lullaby and Goodnight Book" by Nick Jr. Magazine. Other projects have been named on the Center for Early Literacy's "Best Book for Babies" top ten list as well as ABC's Best Books for Babies and Toddlers".
